Copy & Art Advertising DBA C&A Publishing (“C&A Publishing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website micro-masterybook.com (the “Site”), which we publish to promote Micro-Mastery by Elena Rivera Cheek, MBA. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies only to the Site at micro-masterybook.com.
This Site is a project of C&A Publishing, one of the creative practices of Copy & Art Advertising. Our main practice site, capublishingny.com, is a separate destination that may have its own privacy policy. When you follow a link from this Site to that site, to a retailer, or to any other third-party website, this Policy no longer applies; the destination site’s own policy governs.
1. Who this Policy covers
This Policy covers visitors to micro-masterybook.com, readers who sign up for updates about the book, and people who contact us through the Site. It does not cover information handled on our separate practice site, capublishingny.com, or on any retailer site where you purchase the book.
2. Information we collect
We collect only a limited amount of information, and most of it is provided by you or generated automatically as you browse. Specifically:
- Contact details you send us. The Site’s calls to action open an email to micromasterybook@capublishingny.com. If you email us or otherwise reach out, we receive your name, email address, and anything you choose to include in your message. The Site does not currently use an on-site contact form; if one is added later, we will update this section.
- Mailing list signups. If you sign up to receive updates about the book — such as release news, events, or related titles — we collect your name and email address and use a third-party email marketing platform to send you those communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Usage and device data. Like most websites, our Site and its hosting infrastructure may automatically log technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits.
- Cookies and similar technologies. The Site is built on WordPress and may set cookies needed to operate the Site and, if enabled, to measure traffic. See “Cookies and tracking technologies” below.
- Analytics data. Using Google Analytics, we may collect aggregated statistics about how visitors use the Site.
- Purchase links. The Site does not sell the book directly or process payments. Instead, it links to third-party retailers (for example, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Bookshop.org) where you can purchase the book. Any information you provide to complete a purchase is collected by that retailer under its own privacy policy, not by us.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and we ask that you not send us Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health records, or other sensitive data by email.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you;
- Send you updates about the book and related C&A Publishing titles, if you’ve signed up to receive them;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and its content;
- Understand how visitors use the Site so we can make it more useful (where analytics are enabled);
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems; and
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We may use:
- Strictly necessary cookies that are required for the Site to load and function correctly.
- Analytics/performance cookies that help us understand aggregate traffic and usage, if such tools are enabled.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. With vendors who help us run the Site and reach our readers — for example, website hosting, email marketing, and analytics providers — who may process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations.
- Within Copy & Art Advertising. With C&A Publishing’s parent company and its personnel, as needed to respond to your inquiry or manage the Site.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of C&A Publishing, the author, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Links to other websites
The Site links to our practice site (capublishingny.com), to book retailers (such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Bookshop.org), and may link to other third-party sites, including social media. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit, including before making a purchase.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to respond to your inquiry, to send you updates until you unsubscribe, to maintain our business records, or to meet legal, accounting, or security requirements — and then delete or de-identify it. Server logs and analytics data are typically retained for a shorter period consistent with our providers’ standard settings.
8. How we protect information
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect, consistent with our obligations under New York’s Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security (SHIELD) Act. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information to us by email.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. We honor the following requests to the extent they apply to you:
- To access or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- To correct inaccurate personal information;
- To request deletion of your personal information;
- To opt out of marketing communications — you can also unsubscribe directly using the link in any email we send; and
- To not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
New York residents. New York’s SHIELD Act focuses on data security and breach notification rather than granting access or deletion rights. Even so, we will make reasonable efforts to honor the requests above. If a broader New York consumer privacy law takes effect, we will update this Policy accordingly.
California residents. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you rights to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. You may exercise your rights using the contact details below, and you will not be treated differently for doing so.
To make any request, email micromasterybook@capublishingny.com or write to us at the address in “Contact us.” We may need to verify your identity before acting, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
10. “Do Not Track” signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. We will update this section if that changes.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Visitors outside the United States
We operate in the United States, and the Site is hosted and managed here. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location. By using the Site, you understand that your information will be handled as described in this Policy.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version on this page. Material changes will be made clear on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.

1. Use of the Site
The Site and its content are provided for general informational purposes about Micro-Mastery, its author, Elena Rivera Cheek, MBA, and C&A Publishing. The Site does not process purchases directly; links to retailers are provided for your convenience. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, or use it in any way that could damage or impair the Site or others’ use of it.
2. Intellectual property
The Site and its contents — including text, graphics, logos, cover art, excerpts, images, page layout, and design — are owned by or licensed to C&A Publishing and/or the author and are protected by U.S. and international intellectual-property laws. The title Micro-Mastery and any related names, logos, and marks are trademarks of their respective owners. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial reference, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site’s content — including any excerpts or cover art — without our prior written permission.
3. Third-party links
The Site links to retailers where you can purchase the book, to our practice site, and to other third-party websites. We provide these links for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products, pricing, availability, or practices of any linked site, and a link does not imply our endorsement. Accessing third-party sites, and any purchase you make there, is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms.
4. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that the information on it is complete, accurate, or current. Nothing on the Site is professional, legal, or financial advice.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, C&A Publishing and its owners, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Site, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow certain limitations, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless C&A Publishing and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Site means you accept them.
9. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to micromasterybook@capublishingny.com, or by mail to C&A Publishing, 1 N Broadway, STE 1401, White Plains, NY 10601.
